Author Visits

High energy, interactive author visits that fuse literacy, science, and creativity. I love showing students how ideas take shape – and how to turn curiosity into stories.

Through humor, storytelling, and hands-on participation, students don’t just listen—they think, create, and engage.

Presentations include:

• How Do You Grow an Idea? (K-8th grade)
  Where do ideas even come from and how do you grow more? Kids will get excited about catching ideas and how to grow them into stories.
• Animation vs. Illustration (best for 3rd-8th grade)
  From The Simpsons to picture books—what’s the difference, anyway? A behind-the-scenes look at visual storytelling. 
• The Life Cycle of a Log (best for K-3rd grade)
  A surprising, science-rich exploration of forest ecosystems inspired by I’m Not Boring. 

Most presentations are 45 min each. Customizable sessions are available.
